🌼 Our Preschool & Pre-K Program

Our youngest learners, ages 3 and 4, begin their Beyond the Books journey in a program that blends curiosity, creativity, and joy. Children who start at age 3 often stay for two years, giving them extra time to grow, explore, and build confidence before kindergarten.

Families can choose from flexible scheduling options — half or full days, three to five days per week — making it easy to find the right fit. All students must be potty trained.

Our classroom combines the best parts of the Montessori and High Scope approaches, along with my own philosophy of bringing academics to life through hands-on, play-based learning. Every part of the day is designed to help children learn naturally — through exploration, imagination, and fun!

Children move through engaging play areas that change monthly to keep things fresh and exciting. During “work time,” teachers join in the play, weaving in literacy, math, and social skills. In small groups, we learn through games and movement, while our morning meetings include FUNdations phonics, setting the foundation for early reading success.

Science comes to life through child-led experiments and discovery-based projects that inspire curiosity. Each week ends with FUN Friday, where students enjoy exciting specials like yoga, cooking, theater, and more!
